On the Aran Island of Inis Oirr, the Plassy ship wreck has been beached for over 60 years on the South side of the Island. I was scouting locations for a Milky Way Arc, and the ship wreck seemed to line up with a full 180 degree sky during a trip in March. When I got there from the Doolin boat a few weeks later, I found that it didn't fully fill the frame to the East, and that a more close up approach was needed. With the light house spreading some light pollution from a few Kilometers away, I needed to duck behind a low wall for my set up to block the stray light. This picture was three, 3min frames for the night sky at ISO 2500, F/2.8, and three for the foreground taken as the sky brightened with the Moon rise. I took extra Hydrogen Alpha data to show the Rho Ophichui nebula to the right of the image.
