Having taken my annual holidays in Ireland in August, I followed the Sun around the country and managed a few night shoots. Here is a 4 pane mosaic from Dunquin Pier on the Dingle Peninsula Kerry. This is a a very popular daytime spot and is always busy with photographers around Sunset. It doubles up as an excellent location for a night shoot, given the wonderful foreground, but its also in a very dark sky area, with almost zero light pollution, which allows good detail of the stars and Milky Way to be captured. The Green of the Air Glow was an added bonus. Different from Aurora, but generally only seen at dark sky sites.
The foreground was taken during the blue hour, and the sky consists of 2 panels, each 24mins of tracked and stacked images. 24mm Lens, F/4 and ISO 2500 for the sky. 3min exposures x 8 on a Sky Watcher tracker. Each foreground panel is 30s exposure. All processed in Lightroom, Sequator, and Photoshop.
