M22, at an approximate distance of 10600 light years, is one of the brightest and largest Globular Clusters in the sky. It is very close to the Galactic Centre in the constellation of Sagittarius, and so is embedded in a sea of stars. The amount of stars is because we are looking along the plane of the center of our galaxy, at a side on angle. With so many stars, the other side of the Galaxy is obscured in visible light.

M22 is approximately the same diameter of the Full Moon, and this shot was taken with the FSQ106N and full frame CCD, in exposures of 2.5hrs in LRGB.

Note: All our prints are printed on Baryta 325g Paper, which is an excellent paper for framing. The paper is a gloss type, which gives very vivid colour views.
